A month in Korea

It has been almost a month since I left Hawaii and to be honest, I miss spicy ahi.

School:

- The past two weeks went by quickly with exchanging contact information with group members and marking up the dates for exams and reports.

- Class discussions can get competitive as everyone tries to get participation points, therefore, be prepared with your readings before class starts and raise your hand in class.

- KUBA (Korea University Buddy Assistant) will have lunch and dinner every week for exchange and local students to bond.

- KUBS (Korea University Business School) buddies also have monthly activities to visit tourist attractions such as Han River and Gyeongbokgung Palace.

- I have signed up for LTE (Language Exchange Program) for exchange and local students to learn each other's language. I will update you all on how it goes.

Weekends:

- Included a lot of food, bingsu and karaoke.

- Visited a racoon cafe called the Blind Alley.

- Went to Han River to ride couple bike with Ha and we also discovered a free art gallery Ttukseom Station.

- Visited Ehwa and Yonsei University

- Went to Cheonggyecheon Stream

- Visited Namsan Tower over the weekend and it was lovely

- Felt a bit homesick, so I cooked some homemade food.

- Had a haircut date with the Shidler crew and Unko Aloha.

Restroom peeks:

- Namsan Tower restroom is a must-use. You can see the entire city from your stall.

- For KUBS, the restroom light will automatically turn on once you lock your stall ( I have a friend who accidentally pressed the emergency button while assuming it would turn on the light).

- Have a pack of tissue in your backpack will be useful as some of the public bathrooms may run out of toilet paper, generally in shopping streets (also be useful after eating street food).
